LEAD Awards 2017

The LEAD Awards, Leadership and Engagement Achievements of Distinction, recognize students from the Center for Leadership, Center for Service in Action, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Club Sports, and Clubs & Organizations for their exceptional contributions to Cal Poly.

This collaborative awards ceremony will showcase leadership and service efforts from outstanding students across campus. Attendees are invited to enjoy refreshments, mingling, networking, and a recognition of a suite of leadership achievements at Cal Poly. We hope to see you there!

What are the LEAD Awards?

Leadership and Engagement Achievements of Distinction. A collaborative awards ceremony that showcases leadership and service efforts from outstanding students across campus.

• Who: Clubs & Organizations, the Center for Service in Action, the Center for Leadership, and Fraternity & Sorority life
• When: May 22nd, check-in and refreshments begin at 5:15pm, awards ceremony is from 6-8pm
• Where: Chumash Auditorium, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

How do I nominate someone?

You can nominate someone through our application forms on our website: www.deanofstudents.calpoly.edu/leadawards. Applications close April 14th at 5:00pm!

Can I nominate myself?

Yes! As long as you meet all the award's criteria, it doesn’t matter if you nominate yourself or someone else nominates you. Be aware that some awards do require letters of recommendation from other people.

Who is invited?

All Greek Executive Councils, Greek Presidents, Clubs & Organizations Presidents, Club Sports Presidents, Center for Service in Action students, Center for Leadership students, and of course, anyone who has been nominated for a LEAD Award.

Who gets to bring a plus one?

All nominees are allowed to bring a plus one. Please have your plus one register for their own “plus one” ticket on our Eventbrite page.

What should I wear?

Please come dressed in cocktail attire. This is a banquet-style event, and we love seeing everyone look their best.

Should I eat dinner before?

We recommend eating a large lunch and light dinner before the event. We are only serving light appetizers and refreshments, so make sure you don’t come on an empty stomach!
